从而 (cóng’ér) is a conjunction in Chinese, often used to indicate a cause-and-effect relationship or to show how one action leads to another. It can be translated into English as "thus," "thereby," "as a result," or "so as to" depending on the context.
It links two clauses, where the first clause describes the reason or condition, and the second clause describes the resulting action or purpose.
